SADC Seeff Licensees Visit Botswana

October 2023 was a busy month for the Seeff Properties Botswana office. Not only were they a key sponsor of the Real Estate Conference and Expo but they also hosted several of the Seeff licensees from other SADC countries.

The licensees' visit intentionally coincided with the Conference to allow the countries to showcase their own country and the property assets available to Batswana residents, either as investments or as second homes.

Seeff Properties Botswana was a key sponsor of the Real Estate Conference and Expo and Kim Bekker, the Botswana Licensee, is one of the founders and organisers of the conference. As such, Kim had extended an invitation to the Seeff licensees to attend the conference. Representatives from Mauritius, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Santon (South Africa) accepted and planned their visit.

The Seeff Botswana staff, working in teams, were tasked with arranging one on one appointments for the SADC representatives. The interest from the Botswana market was incredible and within a matter of days diaries were almost full.

Seeff Mauritius met with couples and families looking to buy a second home on the island and those looking at the possibilities of relocating. These meetings concluded in a successful sale to a property investor from Botswana. Seeff Sandton showcased many desirable residential and commercial developments that are perfect for investors of all scales. The meetings were productive, and many contacts and leads have been made between Botswana and South African investors. The Zambian representatives also had a productive stay in Botswana and have opened up dialogue with potential investors into their country. Finally, we were honoured to host the Seeff Zimbabwe licensee, Patience Patongamoyo, who was also a guest speaker at the conference. Patience made many good contacts in Botswana as potential investors in Zimbabwe and also those living here who require property management services in Zimbabwe. Patience also has a network of potential investors for Botswana and is already planning her return trip.

Seeff Properties Botswana is proud to be a part of this SADC network of agents and professionals and was delighted to host colleagues during this time. The company is already planning a 2024 visit and looks forward to introducing interested parties to these licensees and being part of these incredible connections.
